“See the Church this way, the Epistle to the Hebrews suggests to us, see it for what it is, an epic adventure that calls for high endeavor if its goal is to be reached; see it as a great people on the march towards God, seeking a lasting city, a vast exodus of humanity, fleeing from the captivity of sin, stretching across the desert of time, weary sometimes of the journey, but urged on always by hope of coming to the land promised by God.”
