Grant to us, Lord, we beseech thee, the help of thy grace; that we, being devoutly given to abstinence and prayer, may be preserved both in body and soul from all the assaults of our enemies; through Jesus Christ they Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
